This holiday season, give your child a heartwarming surprise they'll never forget — a personalized letter to Santa that gets a reply from the North Pole! Hannibal Parks & Recreation has a special North Pole Express Mailbox at City Hall for letters to Santa Claus. Children are encouraged to drop off letters in the mailbox on the west side of City Hall, next to the deposit box for utility payments. Once received, Santa Claus will personally reply to each letter and mail it back to your child from the North Pole! Letters may be dropped off starting Monday Nov. 24 and the last day for letters is Dec. 15. Parents are asked to add notes to the letter if the child’s handwriting is not legible. Letters should include name, age and biggest wishes for Christmas. To ensure Santa or one of the elves can reply, a valid return address is needed. More information is available from Mary Lynne Richards or Emily Hultgren at Hannibal Parks & Recreation, 573-221-0154.
